     Benjamin (Ben) Doudna is a life long Alaskan. Born and raised in the Golden Heart City of Fairbanks, Alaska, he worked in carpentry through high school and college. In 2019, he started spending his summers set-net fishing in the Bristol Bay Borough, but continued working for Black Spruce Builders Inc. in Fairbanks when not commercial fishing. Benjamin got married in 2024 and he and his wife started dreaming about buying a house. Before very long they found a place to call home, however, it meant moving to Delta Junction. With the move came another dream, starting his own business. Having done carpentry most of his life, it was easy to see where to start, and Stella Maris (Star of the Sea) Contracting was born, along with his daughter!
